A look ahead to some of the important dates for those applying to college.

MONDAY 23 AUGUST

CAO Round One offers available on website, www.cao.ie, from 6 am this morning; CAO posts out offers to successful applicants to arrive on this day.

TUESDAY 24 AUGUST

Candidates who wish to apply to view any of their Leaving Certificate scripts must return completed application forms to their schools by this date

MONDAY 30 AUGUST

Final Acceptance date for CAO Round One offers (by 17.15)

THURSDAY 2 SEPTEMBER

Round 2 offers available on CAO website, www.cao.ie, from 6 am. CAO will have posted them out to applicants the previous day, Wednesday 1 September.

FRIDAY 3 & SATURDAY 4 SEPTEMBER

Three separate sessions for viewing of scripts – one on Friday evening, and one each on Saturday morning and afternoon.

WEDNESDAY 8 SEPTEMBER

Application for appeals (for recheck of exam results) must arrive at the SEC (State Examinations Commission) by this date. School candidates applying for a recheck will need to have returned all necessary forms to their school a couple of days earlier, as school will have to post applications on Tuesday September 7.

WEDNESDAY 8 SEPTEMBER

Final Acceptance date for CAO round 2 offers (by 17.15) After Round Two, offers will issued as necessary until October to fill any vacancies which may arise.

EARLY/MID-OCTOBER

Results of Leaving Certificate exam rechecks issued.
